Many faculty at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy engage in global collaborations as part of their professional teaching and leadership responsibilities. The following depicts some of the most recent experiences of Dr. Aliasger Salem.
I visited the Chinese Academy of Science in Shenzhen China with the purpose of establishing a scientific collaboration and to discuss joint educational opportunities. The visit included local 3D printing industry.
South Africa 2018:
I was the keynote and conference opening speaker in the 7th International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Africa. The trip included a visit to the pharmaceutics lab at the University of Kwazulu-Natal to discuss collaborative research opportunities.
I was the opening speaker for Mahidol University’s 50th Anniversary Symposium and Celebration. During the visit, I discuss science policy with the Thailand Minister of Science and Technology, visited with Alumni from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and gave a second talk on bone regeneration. I also visited with Thailand National Nanotechnology Initiative Director to discuss research collaboration opportunities.
